Here’s one with a story behind it.

Sometime in the early 1980s, Sparks—the influential American pop/rock duo formed by brothers Ron and Russell Mael—played a show at Circus Krone in Munich. As was common for touring bands at the time, transporting heavy equipment across Europe wasn’t always practical, and gear would occasionally be sold or left behind after shows.

This is how this Marshall 1960B (1973) cabinet ended up staying in Munich, where it has remained for nearly its entire life ever since.

The cab is loaded with four original Rola Celestion “Creamback” speakers: 3× T1221 and 1× T1511. The T1511 is most likely a period replacement for a damaged original speaker. While the idea of swapping it back to a period-correct T1221 was considered, a short time playing through the cab made the decision easy—this configuration simply works. The sound is open, full, and massive, with a character that feels right as-is.

Cosmetically, the cabinet retains its original tolex and grill cloth, adding to its authenticity and vintage appeal. The casters (wheels) are not original, and the input jack has been replaced, both clearly visible and reflected in the price.
