The Tube Screamer is one of those rare pedals that hardly needs an introduction. From blues and fusion to rock and country, its influence on guitar tone over the last four decades is difficult to overstate.

While the earlier TS808 and TS9 models tend to receive most of the attention, the TS10 has quietly built a reputation of its own. Produced only for a relatively short period during the second half of the 1980s, it became the secret weapon of countless players and later gained almost cult-like status thanks to artists such as John Mayer.

Offered here is a particularly clean and collector-worthy example of an Ibanez TS10 Tube Screamer, made in Taiwan and fitted with the desirable JRC4558D chip.

Condition-wise, it is remarkably well preserved. These pedals are notorious for cracked battery doors, broken switch mechanisms, and heavy wear from decades of use. Finding one this clean is becoming increasingly difficult, making it appealing not only to players but collectors as well.

The TS10 retains everything players love about the Tube Screamer formula: the famous midrange push, the ability to tighten up an overdriven amplifier, and the smooth, musical clipping that helps notes sing without ever becoming harsh. Compared to some other Tube Screamer variants, many players describe the TS10 as slightly more open, with a touch of extra sweetness in the upper mids.
