Here is a 30-year-old, yet virtually as-new, Fender AVRI '52 Tele.

With its Butterscotch Blonde finish over a beautifully figured ash body, black pickguard, and flat-pole bridge pickup, the AVRI '52 commemorates the iconic Telecaster model introduced under that name by Fender in 1952. Being a 1996 model, this particular guitar also commemorates 50 years of Fender, which was founded in 1946.

This Tele has remained in remarkably clean, essentially NOS condition. The finish, hardware, and overall appearance are exceptionally well preserved.

The original case, certificate, ashtray bridge cover, and even the unused original cable are all present. It is a one-owner guitar, bought new in Germany and kept under the bed ever since.

Sound-wise, as with the originals, it has a biting bridge position and a big-sounding neck position. It is a fairly dry-sounding guitar, in a good way, with plenty of clarity. It is already a good-sounding Tele, but I believe that once it gets played more, it will open up and become an even better one.
